Great stuff, used to have loads of Action Man stuff, always a toy to return to for more fun back in the day. Have a nice collection of stuff now thanks to a great friend. Certain toys and games would last for a full childhood, Lego, Meccano, Matchbox cars, Scalextric, etc. and Action Man was certainly in that group.

The one nearest me (Red Lodge) has quite a high turnover, no idea how long the stacks stay there before they are crushed and shredded, but they were all mostly complete. Great fun squeezing between them and crawling inside them looking for a suitable jack... like something from a computer game. And it was good to be given the freedom to do it too, just like the olde daysies.
I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.

As a kid I loved wandering around scrap yards, now health and safety has put the lid on that
Same!! Those were the types of cars I saw too , this pic is a well known one, but sadly there aren’t many out there. I only wish I was also into cameras when I was young….

Good one Peter, yes I remember those, what a faff. There was a great fear that the shop assistant could easily copy your card details when they were in possession of your card and using the machine.

Have we done this?
Back before sealed batteries that lasted for years there was always a starting handle in the boot just in case

Good one Peter I used to know someone who had a Citroen 2CV, and I remember seeing him cranking with the handle and thinking it looks like something from the 1920's, like a Laurel & Hardy film, couldn't understand it at the time.
