Re: Uxbridge Auto Show 2016...
Hi John,
Thanks for posting up so many great pics mate. I don't need to tell you "again" just how gutted I was to miss this brilliant show at Uxbridge and the convoy with you. I really enjoyed this last year so really wanted to get to this but it was not to be but seeing these pics has put a massive back on my face !
That Carb converted 2.8 looks fantastic John...bet it sounds just as good ! What a splendid array of Capri's though and bet this was only a "few" of what you actually seen if last year was anything to go by !
Wow ! How stunning is that Yellow MK III Cortina as Rob also pointed out. It looks simply immaculate ! What a car ! And I do love the Stag too, always have liked them. Those Manta's look well cool too. So many great cars to comment upon I could say something about every one
Those Mustangs are superb too. Bet they turn a few "ears" wherever they go...and yes John I can see how dam gleaming that Black one is
Anyway John some lovely motors and really enjoyed looking through them. What a brilliant show this is. Wont miss it next year but on this note I cant believe how fast this year has actually gone. Does not seem a year since I was walking around this great show with you...but it is
All the best mate and thanks again for taking the time to post them up
Nick

Cracking pictures John. Looks more entertaining than changing a steering rack especially.
I was actually at Uxbridge a few weeks back at the 11 Group Operations bunker- very interesting it was too. No Capris though!

Re: Uxbridge Auto Show 2016...
Damn, I forgot the show was on, usually go every year and there's always some really superb vehicles of all makes there.
I felt last year's show was marred by the stupid idiots with modern BMWs and Audis having some type of contest as to how loud they could play their "music", if that's what they call it, which frankly gave everyone else a headache. Hope these pr*cks weren't there this year.

Re: Uxbridge Auto Show 2016...
Hi John,
What a breathtaking variety and standard of cars, and amazing photos, as ever.
I love the Chargers and the Interceptors especially (that's the British ones, not the Mad Max job), but it's also great it to see the really rare stuff like the Autobianchi and the Manta A.
By the way, in the background to the right of the Ferrari 512BB, is the LTI (London Taxi) being exhibited at the show? Takes all sorts, I suppose!
Cheers for posting,
Andrew.

There was one at Brooklands in 2014. I seem to remember that turbo-mike once mentioned that it belonged to a friend of his.

Re: Uxbridge Auto Show 2016...
Thanks for all the great photos - I was down in Uxbridge this weekend so jumped in with the Suburu club and my girlfriends dad. Always a great show but seemed even bigger this year ....not sure if that was something to do with the weather.
Car of the show for me was a Mk1 Cortina - completely custom restoration done by its owner over a 7 year period. Disco engine, seats cut down from a Saab, air con, full custom interior, power steering, electric seats and chip foose wheels (for all you overhaulin fans)... no photos unfortunately but unreal level of detail.
Heres just a few:
How many of these are still around ? is this as rare as I think? I've never seen one in real life before?
And last but not least - my girlfriends dads scooby
Sorry for jumping on your post, some great photos and a great show
Thanks Sam!

It was a great show this year ! I haven't been for 10 years so didn't know what to expect but I was very happy with the amount of capris there !
The black zephyr with the huge wheels in the boot is my uncles car he runs the head gas gits club and said depending on how the final build is set up should produce between 850 and 1200 bhp hahaha imagine that
