Power steering failure
Hello,
Im just finishing some bits and pieces from the capri and my power steering is loosing a lot of fluid.
It is loosing from the seal of the steering colum.
Has someone changed before this seal? If so, any special tools needed? or just the clip remover.
I also found this seal kit on ebay, any experience with them? Im thinking rebulding the whole thing
This is the main leak. I poored 1/2 liter of fluid into the pump and it droped it at the bottom in a couple of hours with out even starting the engine.

Re: Power steering failure
Hi,
There's a full guide on stripping down the power steering rack, in the Ford Capri Workshop Manual, published by Brooklands books.

All the best,
Andrew.

Lets hope she heeds your subtle hints and reminders!snizeldelabmx wrote:Allready shown to the misses... birthday is coming soon
It really is a useful manual, much more in-depth than Haynes. The info will give you the opportunity to overhaul the whole steering rack, if you wish.
Andrew.
