black box on back of alternator?
so i was working on my 2.0 today around the alternator, when i noticed that little black box with a wire coming out. When i got close i saw the wire was hanging off by a thread and i just toutched it and it broke :/ i cant solder it back because its broke at the box and have no wire to solder to. What does the box do? Where can i get another?
Re: black box on back of alternator?
This question has been asked before but i cant remember under what thread. The black boxes are hard to come by but you can drive without them, theres a more technical answer but the basic one is the alternator produces unwanted frequency's when its doing its things and the black box earths it or neutralizes them.
