My Capri

Post by Craigorypeck »

Hey to all!
Just joined the site a few weeks ago.
Got my first Capri (1978 2000s) just before the new year.
It has had quite some work done before I got it, new wings and a respray and an engine rebuild. It was in show condition a few years back but has some very minor blistering that I'll put straight in the summer months.
Any other problems were very minor, just a few wiring gremlins.
Also fitted a manual choke to the 32/36 carb and a K&N filter for good measure.

Long live the Capri!

Craig

Thought Id update my car pics as they have disappeared.... (18/05/10)

ha turbo??? where??!! thats a supercharger from a merc 230 slk..
I got the cossie on donedeal.ie, engine was 900 euro but god only knows whats been spent since the initial purchase..
When I get my new block broke in I'll get it on the rollers.
I have it set up that when cruising on part throttle its not under boost so runs efficiently on the bike carbs, I'd get approx 30-33mpg maybe more on long run.. half that when hooning about.
No :gay: wooosh :gay: i'm afraid... its plumbed back to the charger
