That one third from bottom (top right of pic) should have been the MK4 capri IMO. Great pics, I love seeing concept pics for things. They really show the original inspiration and imagination of the creators before the reality of manufacturing tones down the design.

You are right Peter, but it wouldn't have looked out of place in 1987. I shudder to think what Ford would have done with a capri in the early 90's though, if the MK5 escort was anything to go by.

It really does! The black one in the second pic just looks like a squashed JPS! I think we we're lucky, some of them would be pretty bad in reality.Peter-S wrote:It looks like the front of a Vauxhall Cavalier thoughrich_jc wrote:That one third from bottom (top right of pic) should have been the MK4 capri IMO.

Some cool designs in there, I especially like the little group of 4 pics at the bottom of the second page... as someone else said it's cool to see what may have been before all the practicalities of car building and bureaucrats get involved. There's a site somewhere with some great concept pics of the Austin Allegro, it was actually quite a handsome car on paper, at least it was before BL bastardised it!
Some of those Capri sketches obviously had one eye on the Vauxhall Firenza/Opel Manta though didn't they?
