New Professionals Model

Post by pbar »

As mentioned elsewhere on here by Tom (T.M.) I think it was, this 1:18 scale Professionals X-pack should be available soon. My local dealer who I know well is offering them at £60, which I believe to be, in legendary forum fashion, reasonable :) Looks really great.

That's good price for 1/18. I found it here in CZ for similar price. ;)

Thanks guys, yes I too thought it to be a good price, he's a nice guy who I've known for a while and a classic car owner too. I really like the 1:18 models, it's a very appealing scale.

There's been an update for this, now due to be released in April, in the UK at least, about time!

Has your dealer received their stock of these yet?
A website I looked at says they are now due for release in August. However, some European based websites are listing them as in stock.

I was a little worried that the quality and detailing might be poor on Model Car Group's models as they are significantly cheaper than Minichamps or Norev 1/18 scale models. I bought an RS2600, just to see what they were like. I needn't have worried as they look to be fine, and are good value for money. I can't wait for the Mark II to be released.

Unfortunately my dealer, who I had this on order with, has ceased trading. So I'm currently looking elsewhere, several places seem to have a pre-order option in the UK, but most are quite baffling and vague as to when it will be available.

Are you guys aware of the Professionalmania releases? The twin pack at the bottom right of the pic is the latest, soon to be available.

Thanks for the heads up.
I have the single car. Is the twin pack a limited edition too?

Oh, sorry to hear that. It's always a pity to lose a local business.
There are some UK based traders on Ebay who appear to have it in stock now.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... =0&_sop=15
Currently on offer with a 15% discount, making the price £60.94.

Andrew.
I have my 1/43 version, so I don't order MCG 1/18.
It's already a bit crowded in my display case. :)

Magic, you wrote that in the nick of time. I'd just been looking and found a website I was going to order from, at around £68. You discovered a much more reasonable price! Thanks :)

It is yes. Typically, on ebay these Professionalmania releases seem much more expensive than direct from the seller.

There is a pre-release sample pack on ebay though at the moment -
