Mk1 auto gear selector clips

Post by CapriDriver »

Hi. I have an automatic Mk1 pre-facelift. The part which the PRND21 housing attaches to has 4 fixing holes and these should have clips inserted in them. Mine only has one clip in place - the other three are missing, as can be seen from the attached photos. The holes are size 6mm. Does anyone here know where I can get new clips to match the existing one ?

1981 GL Auto 2.0, Barn-Find-Resto, now also a runaround project
1980 3.0S, crash damage resto
1993 Fiesta 1.1

Currently full up and no more space but I still want a 2.8...

Think you may have a hard time finding the exact clips or whatever you want to call them, but they were the same on all auto capris regardless of the year, and I would imagine can also be found in any other Ford of the period with a C3 box so someone may have some knocking around

Otherwise you will probably need to fashion your own

Well worth ringing to see if they are availble.
Oddly some Reliant stuff seems easier to get that Ford stuff.
I needed a breather hose that is no longer available as a Ford part number but is as a Reliant.
