Well I just had an excellent afternoon catching up with all the gang after something like 12 years. So nice to be made welcome: like it was only yesterday.
Hey they even let me bring my pseudo Capri in. :)
Hope the rest of the weekend goes well for you all.
What a great club that you can just walk back into and pick up where you left off.
Thank you all.

Back home now, good to see you all again, and great to see you Martin! Good cheer, good laughs, tasty food and great conversations as always.. debates included covid response, gender ideology, ancient civilisations, the mysteries of existence and the future of society. And the legality of worrying ducks with a horn

Bloody good pub that too, great old jukebox.. even had a singalong with the locals after the barley wine

Great to meet up and chill out. Another cracking weekend of heavy drinking & yarning & singing - some did more of one or another of the selection

Good to see the old flag getting a new lease of life.
Hope the models found good homes too. :)

Great weekend chaps. Thoroughly enjoyed it as ever and great to see Martin with his 'German Capri'. Thanks also Martin for the refreshments and yes the models have gone to good homes and the flag will no doubt be out again next year.

Next year booked in for the first weekend in July once again :)

And for those who missed out on the camping last weekend near Thetford, Norfolk. We all had a whale of a time, even Michael, the newest Laser Page member.
Saturday evening Major Tom noticed a bee bumbling around in the thick grass cuttings in our big gazebo so lifted it on his finger & took it over to his Capri to get a drink for it. It cleaned every bit of honey & water off his hand then stayed with him on his finger a few minutes. He got it - 'Michael' - to fly but it came back & landed on his sunglasses. Eventually it went on it's merry way. Fry up time on the gas stove for breakfast & 'Michael' arrived and landed on Major Tom's bag he'd just put down between his feet. Friendly little blighters eh! He didn't get any bacon butties though πŸπŸπŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸπŸ

For you southerners it's Capris Up North Next Year for you. And for you northerners you'll be Going Down to Friends At Norfolk Next Year.

Having bitten the bullet and taken early retirement, I now find myself busier than ever. :xd: :xd: :xd:
However, I'm keeping the weekend of 5-7 July 24 free.
Hopefully that's the right dates?

Yep that's the weekend it should be. Will confirm with them in the New Year - they didn't have a 2024 to put it in July!
