Re: Ford to re-launch Capri!
Ford cannot be serious....
To quote
"Using the same moniker as the collectible 1970s car - commonly referred to as the 'working man's Porsche' due to its affordability - the EV version is expected to cost roughly £40,000."
All those poor people will be rubbing their hands with glee at such an affordable price
" it will still boast some of the classic's original features, including a four-headlight arrangement."
So that's it. Its got four headlights so its a Capri !!
Wonder if it will have special body panels that rust when driven in rain
I can't see this actually going ahead with the Capri badge on it... Surely not...

Another SUV retro electric milk float. An insult to the Capri name and all the original car's dedicated owners and lovers worldwide.

Re: Ford to re-launch Capri!
God that leccy Mustang is horrible, is the that the kind of thing they're going to slap the Capri badge on?
Look on the bright side kids - our Capris are about to become even cooler by comparison.

Re: Ford to re-launch Capri!
I've just been sent a picture from someone so it appears to have made it into print!
Considering the amount of times over the last 30 years there have been rumblings about bringing back the Capri name, I can't imagine a worse way to do it than by making it electric

Ha ha ha double disappointment Jason .....coz they didnt do one for the pinto eitherJasonmarie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 3:50 pm Can’t see a book coming out in 35 years about the best electric motor in the world
What pisses me off is thinkin of all the wankers that will buy one and then think they own a Capri . #ucking windy here tother night ( yeah yeah yeah ... the roof is rooted ) and as you can see my shed roof got abreviated , any how I had to get Crapi out of the shed for the 1st time in 4 years ......in the driveway and in the space of 4 hours 3 people hit reverse and came in for a look , 2 wanted to buy it .......no chance
Sometimes I talk to myself ... and we both have a good laugh

Ha ha ha , just for your #ucking information the tin on that roof was made in Wolverhampton , as was the house roof before I re-roofed it. So there!
