the non-covid death rate has been consistently higher than the 5 year average for about 6 months and is affecting all age groups.

Or maybe it is still covid, but either people can't be arsed to write it on the death certificate, or have been instructed not to?

They used to say opinions are like arseholes: everybody has one.
Now I think we simply delete 'opinion' and insert 'theory'.

Another one is "lies, Damned lies and statistics".
