Tips and tricks

Post by D366Y »

Does anyone have any tips and tricks for the fuses an be headlight relay at all?
I'm bored of having to clean them up every few months with wet and dry so was going to take them out and clean them up properly with a dremel but wondered if there was anything else I could do or put on them to try and make it last a bit longer??

Cheers
Danny

Slight smear of grease after you have cleaned them up might help Danny.

The contacts shouldn't need cleaning that often!
You do have that protective rubber cover that protects the electrics underneath the headlight relay, don't you?

Andrew.

How about some Vaseline? A smear can work wonders on stuff like this.

I do have the rubber cover yes - I always forget which car it is I've done it one last but it feels like I'm doing it all the time (or that it needs it and I can't be bothered and put it off 😂)

I have heard about vaseline as well, have put some on the battery terminals in the past so will put some of that or some grease on
