..caught sight of the screen as it was on test... it weighs 1,719kg!!!!
That's around four fifths of a Capri more in weight than a Capri.
It's jolly outrageous I tell you.

You sound outraged and rightly so!
The 207CC looks bulbous, the Capri looks slender. 'nuff said!
Andrew.

It's doors are so heavy, the driver's one is dropping now as all that opening and closing has knackered it.
Underneath, I guess it still wasnt solid enough with the roof down, so this huge X of steel connects the front and rear of the inner sills together. Very makeshift
I also notice that modern cars in general, and the 207CC in particular, has a vast monolith of plastic forward of the dash, taking up so much room that the rear seats are totally useless as seats. What's in there? Why does it have to take up such a lot of room?
I'm getting old

I also noticed that. In some modern cars, it's not even possible to touch the screen with outstretched arms.Major_Tom wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 5:16 pm I also notice that modern cars in general, and the 207CC in particular, has a vast monolith of plastic forward of the dash, taking up so much room that the rear seats are totally useless as seats. How are we supposed to wipe the screen over when we're driving along?
Andrew.

The reason for the huge expanse of dash is for your fish & chips ......haha , see how fast you can swallow when the air bag goes off. Ours (toyota blade master) is vast , I was thinking of setting up my Subbuteo on it ......cept Mum chucked it out 40 years ago .Andrew 2.8i wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 5:54 pmI also noticed that. Sometimes I talk to myself ... and we both have a good laugh

I bet there's nothing in there. Just old magazines and dog ends.
