What Is This On The Roof?

Your starter for ten, who knows what this unusual item is on the roof of this 60s Capri -

Me me me ....its a rear view mirror for towing a caravan . You can see thru the front and rear screens of the caravan to see whats behind.........'cept it wont work with that sticker across the top of the screen

I can remember seeing a few about when I was a kid ......round 1970 ish.
There was also the huge extension bracket mirror thing on the drivers door (another Brunell invention ?😁).........or just the long queue of traffic behind the offending vehicle ( we still got that!🀬).

What a beautiful looking car, let's hope it hasn't had one of those dreadful Pinto engine's put in it.

If you fitted another one at the back of the roof, pointing down then you'd be able to see.....................
