Still got my mum's 1940's Imperial brand type writer and some carbon paper for the copies. No word of a lie this is called "Nigga" brand and certainly would not be allowed today.

As for NIcole and her Clio, well stuff the car but I would love her to sit on my lap and talk acout the first thing to pop up!

Oh yes. When I was made redundant I bought my old Adler typewriter from the company I worked for and brought it home with me. Was eventually persuaded to sell it on eBay but I now wish I hadn't.

Did that to all my books when I was a kid. Books were expensive items to us and my parents insisted that I look after them. But I mostly used clear polythene. There was a shop not too far away that sold great big rolls of it.

Yes it does save a book , my old watch / clock books that I use for ref have a brown front covers and some of the pages have really old tape down the side . One book I have was fixed by a old chap in Rochester who still did book binding .
Never find the information on Google now .

Good idea, I think I used left over rolls of wallpaper for mine, still got one which I did for my own book, as well as those compulsory for school (I was always making things as a child, loved it), and it's surprising just how well the book, and the cover, have lasted.

It is the law at Christmas to have a TV guide for the holiday period, the TV Times has always been the one for our household, as a child and also now, Christmas wouldn't be the same without it. The one below is from 1985, Minder appeared on the 1988 cover too.

Those boxes must be quite rare now and probably worth a few bob. You have yours well stocked with survival items

I'm sure Blakey wouldn't be happy though :)
