New addition...
Hi all.
So after such a shit year I finally got around to doing something I been meaning to do for a long time... get a full stainless steel exhaust system made up for B112.
So after a bit of research I decided to go to Hayward and Scott down in Basildon. They make up both the manifold and exhaust all by hand on site. Their workshop tucked away on an Essex industrial estate is an amazing place to visit with the old school tooling and machines...and the cars they had in there too.....
Ian who runs the place is a proper top bloke. Listens to exactly what you want and gets to work designing it. He kept in contact throughout and no question i had was too much trouble for him, in fact he likes offering the advice and said giving the customer what tbey want is what they are about.
So anyway they had B112 for about 10 days so as to design, make and fit. Just please dont ask how much as its like asking a lady how old she is
Seriously most here prob already know you will need to dig fairly deep into your pockets but what you get in return is well worth it.
As said, after such a bad year this was as good as any time to finally go for it !! Picked up B112 yesterday and just blown away how nice it is. Ian really nailed it to what I wanted. He gave me the 3" rolled out cherry bomb rear end and kept the tone/burble just right !!! I paid the extra to get the whole system poilshed which im really glad I did as I know id be kicking myself after !
So I done a quick video and couple of photos...I can see from the photo Ian did of the underside i missed a few bits when tidying up last time
So, heres the video i done

Re: New addition...
I thought I did well finding a NOS Ford rear silencer for the Sierra, but this has put a bit of a dampner on it
Looks great Nick, bet it sounds good too
Well done treating yourself, and regardless of the cost you never have to buy another exhaust
I had a H&S on my Impreza Turbo, they are great quality.

Bet it looks great.!!!!!andyd wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 3:39 pm I thought I did well finding a NOS Ford rear silencer for the Sierra, but this has put a bit of a dampner on it

Yep the price is not for the faint hearted mate but it is a bit of a treat as I been wanting one for a while now and as you say their quality is very good indeed so is deffo money well spent/invested. H+S are pretty much a household name in Impreza circles but they do so much stuff on classics too. Thanks again Andy

Nice one Andy.
Yes mate, talking to Jason a while back he recalled you had a h+s exhaust made up for your Pinto so i looked up your original thread and it was this that put me onto them so thanks mate. Really glad i got onto them. Id done a fair bit of research and whilst h+s cost a bit more they really do look after you and really are quality too. Just love the fact its all designed, made by hand all on site. Not many places like these guys around any more. Yes hope to catch up soon Andy. Cheers mate.
All the best
Nick

Looks good Nick - glad someone else joined the S/S pinto club!
Only problem though - you appear to have fitted silencers... What on earth do you want those for??
