Just starting to take a few turns to start over recently so wasn't sure if the coil might be on its way out. The leads and plugs all look recent just not the coil
That could just be the cold weather. Might just be worth wiping the inside of the distributor cap and spraying it and the low tension wires with a moisture repellent.
I would also check your petrol pipes - I can see signs of cracking on the ends on the fuel filter.
I dont mean to hi jack but does anyone else run a later Bosh Dizzy with a Lucas DAB 752 Ignition Module and a Motorcraft coil (has 12V stamped on the side). I'm having similar problems getting my 2.0 Capri to fire on that first initial start up. Starting to look back at the spark im getting (although it runs ok when going) I get the feeling this set up is off a Pinto Transit from the colours of the module wires. Testing the yellow/black wire from the coil to battery neg gets me 12v on ignition 2 so I guess theres no ballast in there.
Again sorry for any hi jacking, hope this helps in someway too.
