It's all in the detail

Post by Fordoholic Nick »

Hi all. So last weekend I finally treated B112 to a bit of a detail. Not a full blown full works detail but still what they achieved was great. They machined back to the naked gloss and took a layer off this to try to get some of the usual swirls off, then built the protection back up with 1k Nano Sealant. What they achieved over the weekend was very impressive. Was never expecting it to be showroom shine  but its turned out very well indeed.

Not bad, but needs some big swirly 90s tribal decals all down the sides :)

Blimy Nick, I didn't think you could improve on how it has always looked but that is a miracle.

I've got a large Sealey polishing mop and will have to get some of those fine polishing mop heads on mine.

Looks like a cracking result Nick, you must be chuffed.
Coincidentally I gave the 2.0 a bit of a makeover today. Not finished at this point but I think you can see the improvement

Thanks Paul. :)

Mate I think I'd be too nervous to do anything like this myself. Thought I'd leave it to the experts. It was cool before but they've given it a better deeper sort of shine. We'll chuffed.

Thanks very much Peter. Yes well chuffed indeed mate but could not sleep after dropping the Capri to them. The thought of actually paying somebody to take a machine to B112's paintwork seemed insane at the time but worth it

Ahh lovely to see the Pinto mate.!! You can deffo see the improvement Peter. Keep up the great work :)

Nick,
How long did it take for the detailers to do their business?

Your Sainsbury is obviously a bit more upmarket than ours, we don't have wrought iron gates, covered parking or flower borders down this way

And this is only our local Sainsburys Express Peter. You should see our main Sainsburys... It has a boating lake and full size maze with continental inspired gardens...

Mr Tom, you are quite correct my observant friend. If you look close the J has indeed fallen off...

Slightly off topic, but does anyone remember a few years back, when Rumbelows was still with us.
One year, at Xmas, they removed the letter 'L' from every store and replaced it with a sign that said 'No-el'.
Hope the person who thought that one up got a bonus!
