Look at this garage!
Look at this garage!
I was driving through deepest darkest Suffolk today and whilst I know country folk are a bit old fashioned, I didn't expect this:
I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.

Wow Tom. Great place to stumble across fella. Very cool.!! Looking on their website can't see any of those classics up for sale though ?? Wonder if they are just there to 'dress the window'

Re: Look at this garage!
I know! I did a little moan of joy when realised what was around me. And yeah! I had a good search, the only thing that turned up anything was searching 'gammers classic cars' which returns a single sentence on the google page that says "Did you know we also do classic cars?" but that's it. Jolly strange.Fordoholic Nick wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 9:54 pm Wow Tom. Great place to stumble across fella. Very cool.!! What a great find.
Did you stop and have a look around the showroom?

Stowmarket, just over the railway crossing.
I assume you had plenty of time to look as those crossing gates seem to be down more than up!
I work about 500yards away at Timberwolf, and walk past there every day (Well i did until Covid, now I mostly work from home).
Had a nice red 2.8i in there with the bonnet up. Weren't impressed when I wandered in and told them the coolant caps were the wrong way round................but the next day they had swapped them.
I can only imagine the extortionate prices of their 'approved used' Fiestas are financing the collection!

Could have been. I remember it was a D-plate but was the other side of the road back then. I went to home working on 17th March so it was a fair while back.
Re: Look at this garage!
That Capri has MOT until 3rd December 2020, and around 54000 miles so quite a low miler. Wonder what the asking price is?
Re: Look at this garage!
I must be wrong but in my pictures it looks to have 5.5J wheels on!

Yup, not sure it was the 2.8i I saw, that was some time back.Major_Tom wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 1:16 pmI must be wrong but in my pictures it looks to have 5.5J wheels on!
I'm there next Thursday so I'll take another look. Maybe a Laser?
Re: Look at this garage!

Re: Look at this garage!
Google street view which says has an image dated September 2018 shows a colour coded Red Capri, a Red Sierra and, in the background a white Sierra with spoiler - XR4? Doesn't seem like they have a fast turnover of classics!

You can view the older Streetview captures too. Guess what, the red Capri (I assume it's the same one) has been in the showroom since at least March 2009!

Looks like the garage was once a Ford dealership.
