I saw the first pic and thought it was a photoshop effort - then scrolled down

I was looking at the exterior pictures, thinking what you'd need to throw in the bin, then I came to the interior
Poor thing.

Sorry, I just vomited after having a heart attack! An excercise in how to turn a ten grand car into a fifty quid one.

Apart from the door handles, that looks like total

Re: I'm all for modifications, but....
You guys need to open your minds a bit , I aint saying I want to be seen driving it ( I dont carry Rembrandts "stone operation" around with me either ) but as an exercise in modeling it aint that bad. You dont have to like it but its more about seeing the work that goes into it. Like Nick's capri , one of the nicest I have seen but you could say its boring in that there is nothing unique about it ,but you cannot deny the skill , foresight ( in the planning stage ) and work (,to say nothing of the money ) and maintainance after the build.
I dont think your car is boring Nick ,if I were there in person I could spend a fair bit of time crawling over and under it just soaking it all in .
Gimmie an 90's Ducati any day, the new ones look friggin awful

Re: I'm all for modifications, but....
If i recall correctly this was on facepaint and was made by a guy in Sri Lanka?
I can't imagine the parts supply for mk1 capris in that part of the world are that abundant and to keep one on the road is better than to have let it die.
Also, we generally always preach about how 'it's your car you can do what you want with it' which applies to this as well

Indeed Danny, we can also apply our skills to more modern cars as well

Re: I'm all for modifications, but....
What makes you say that
The guy has skills and he has a few quid, he is resourceful sure, but the reason this "Capri" is in this condition is due to bad taste. He looks like he hates Capris. This wasnt a restoration job done with minimal parts on a budget, its a mobile eyesore done knowingly badly.

Re: I'm all for modifications, but....
This makes sense though, for the new concave piperoad tunnels that will soon become commonplace.Peter-S wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 4:35 pm Indeed Danny, we can also apply our skills to more modern cars as well

Pimp my ride gone wrong..... Very badly wrong, each to their own I guess and there was me thinking that nothing could look as appalling as a Tickford Capri....
If an honest man is wrong and after demonstrating that he is wrong he either stops being wrong or stops being honest

Yep I totally get where you're coming from Hamish. I like nothing more than walking around shows seeing what modifications folk have done to make their Capri more personal and this one is certainly that like it or not and as title I am still not sure so not slaggging thd fella off at all by posting this but Jesus it's a deffo head turner ain't it just.!! Yep still alot of planning, time and hard work involved in this but crikey I bet even Leepu from Chop Shop would get his chainsaw out straight awayMc Tool wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 11:34 am You guys need to open your minds a bit , I aint saying I want to be seen driving it ( I dont carry Rembrandts "stone operation" around with me either ) but as an exercise in modeling it aint that bad.
