This season, I be mostly..

Post by Major_Tom »

..standing outside a rolling road listening to my Capri on the rollers 8-)

Will try and get some pictures, but I am not allowed in to view due to the usual situation.

Whereabouts Tom?

Been quoted £295 by Anglian Tuning Centre in Oulton Broad to remap my Z4 20iS M-Sport with rolling road before and after tweaks included. Will take it from 184 BHP (199 lbs/ft) to 270 BHP (310 lbs/ft).

That's what I call bang for buck.

Well I got it back and instead of it hesitating at low revs, its runs loads worse all through the rev range with a terrible misfire

So left it with them overnight to fix whatever theyve done wrong!

Nice figures. That's a decent price too, doubt these guys could match it.. depending on what happens tomorrow you might not want them to anyway!

I think I paid £125-150 for mine to be set up a few years back and matey did a great job. Based on the trading estate in Slough though so had to take my stabproof with me

Just heard back from them, one of the new main jets was somehow full of crap. Not quite sure how it ran well on the rollers but hey ho. Might get it today...... or I could drink an ice cold beer and get it tomorrow 🤔

I got mine rolllin roaded just before the lock down business so was allowed to sit in and view through a glass window. Jesus never heard B112 sound like that before  but great chaps and they even gave me the run of their kitchen to make myself a cuppa and biscuits too

Well I got it back, it's loads more fluid all through the rev range, lots of torque but the HP is well down, like 50 horses down! But it fucking goes 🤔 didnt get a torque reading though because I didn't ask because I am a scatterbrain and just forgot.

The old rollers it was done on 9 years back were well out the old man said.. but it flies and it doesnt lurch at low revs and still gets to 60 in about 5.5 sec so seems back to normal, like how I had it 9 years back. Lots of power there, but a piece of paper says something is smaller now. So I guess I despise paper now.

Wow sounds like it's really tuned up nice Tom. Glad you're happy fella but yep papers only exactly that, how it performs and puts that smile on your face is another matter completely, and by the sound of it it's putting that smile on your face. Nice one Tom. :applaud:

Wouldn't care what the paper says Tom if it goes like that. Nice one, glad to see you're enjoying driving it
