With this coronavirus business, my work on the capri has accelerated (from glacially slow to a snail's pace). Something I read said to use Ford Ka HT leads to fit the coilpack. They're quite short though. The coil will need to be mounted about here for it to work. I'll need to rig up a bracket, but is it problematic due to heat from the exhaust or anything?
Coilpack location?

Re: Coilpack location?
Would you benefit enough to warrant changing from a normal set of leads and leaving as is? Or are you not on normal dizzy?

Re: Coilpack location?
I used KA leads and that style coilpack when i converted a Pinto engine to Megajolt a few years ago. I made up a bracket for the coilpack just between the back of the rocker cover and the bulkhead where it looked as though it had been made that way. That was on a kit car though which had more accessible space at the back of the engine, long gone now. Im not sure if that would be feasible on a Capri, sadly mine's a V6 so I cant check for you.
I would be a bit concerned about heat. Could you mount the coil pack just the other side of the rocker cover somewhere ? Otherwise if you are stuck with it being near the exhaust it could be worth wrapping the manifold to reduce the ambient heat rising from it.

Re: Coilpack location?
Might work. I've ordered another set of leads so I'll have a bit more length
