3.0 Capri ghia VKT 78T For Sale

Post by The Duke »

Hi all,

A heads-up for you that VKT 78T ( the corgi model car) 3.0 ghia is coming up for sale on “the market“.co.uk. The auction is starting in a few days but over 100 pics are ready to view now. Professional pics are due in the next day or two. This car is pretty much all genuine Ford parts having spent 9 years in the making. It was subject to a bare metal respray in 2015 and had a top to bottom engine rebuild to 3.1 spec 18 months ago. It’s also appeared in a 7 page editorial in Retro Car mag. This car is nothing short of spectacular and won a “ Top 20” ( out of 4000 cars) award at last Summers Classic Ford show.

Please take a look if you fancy bidding.

Cheers
Paul

What's the black thing with a red button on it, says ford Capri on it? Is it a torch that came with the car originally or something?

Very nice can’t say I have ever heard of the Market that’s a new one on me .
How much she will make is in truth hard to say as from bonhams auctions there last one when lock down started non reserved cars went for next to nothing as it was internet bidding only . There was a ex owner going to take them to court for going ahead with the auction .
Saying that people are buying like mad on E-Bay pocket watches & clocks a normal smiths pocket watch with Eagle comic on went for over £200 Mark last week what is a first.

I think it is - my dad found one in a loft a while back that had come with one of his previous cars but I can't remember which one now

Did you see the Gold 3.0S sell at the Historics auction at Ascot on March 7th 2020. Sold for £23,700. Big money indeed!

Hi all,

Following-on from my original post and thanks to all of you that have viewed it, here's an update for you.

The Capri ghia 3.1 is now live on "the market.co.uk" with over 400 pictures showing it in all its glory!

This is your chance to get hold of one of the best Capri examples out there. Don't forget its almost all genuine Ford original parts, I've been conservative at 85% but it may be higher!

It's also your chance to own a one-of-a-kind "CORGI" car. Don't forget this is THE EXACT car used by CORGI to make a die-cast model with matching number plate, history profile and entry in the CORGI catalogue. CORGI only make one of each model so there wont be another!!!

This is a chance to get hold of something special if you're a Capri fan.

If you think it's something you might be interested in please take a look at some of the (over 400 pics).

Hi all,

Only two days left to grab yourself a one-of-a-kind totally restored with almost all genuine ford parts 3.0 Capri. Don’t forget, CORGI have made die-cast model of this exact car, complete with matching number plates. Just google VKT 78T to see it.

This really is an amazing opportunity to get hold of a magnificent and rare vehicle.

Click on the link attached and read the quotes regarding the car. A few of which are below.

“Quite special and phenomenal”, “a rare opportunity to buy the closest thing to a new Capri you’re ever likely to find” and “once in a lifetime is an overused expression, but not in this case” all quotes regarding the Capri to be found on “the market.co.uk”

Auction finishes at 8pm on Tuesday 12th May and the reserve is now tantalisingly close!

Happy bidding.

Kind regards

Hi Andy,

Yes, really happy! Mind you, it’s always difficult trying to describe an amazing car as So many of them are described this way, the thing is, this one is. Just pleased two people saw it and started bidding like crazy for it.

I need another now to sprinkle some magic dust onto. I’ll be on the look out.

Cheers
Paul
