As the ground is warming up, it'll grow at this time of year.

+1 on that but cover it with a bit of topsoil otherwise the birds will have it. They’re feeding pretty apeshit at the moment.

Well, you seem to have sown the seeds of a long discussion.
I'm sure there'll be a lot mower advice to come.

Although, with the current situation you should consider planting potatoes, carrots, cabbage etc instead.

I don't use the ride-on much these days as I've bought a self-propelled mulching mower that I tend to use more.
It saves a lot of work not collecting the clippings!

Nothing yet?
I'm no expert, but you might have to cover those seeds to stop the birds being able to get them. Are you watering the seeds in? The soil in your photo looks dry to me.
What I do on small patches like that is use an implement to pierce 10mm deep holes and sow the seed into those holes. Cover up the holes by stamping on the soil. Water well.

I can help you with some advice on how to grow grass indoors Jason.. Pop over when all this virus business is over and I show you how I grow it. Much easier indoors as the birds can't get to the seeds.....

Yes there’s a few spots like that I think it’s where the dog does a wee
But did rack dead grass up and loosen the earth about a 1” down then seeded with topsoil and old seed I had in the shed . Have been watering morning and night .

Day 3 tommorow Folks

That is funny nick now I know why your electric bill is so high

But we don’t want WEED in our lawns
