What are you cooking in these days of wartime restrictions?
...Im doing stews, got a fresh one in the slow cooker now, locally shot venison, potatoes, grated carrot, leeks, onions, fresh tomatoes and blueberries. Oh and about half a bottle of wine. I'll keep putting in ingredients as it goes down over the week, stretch things for ages like that, boil down the bones etc.
Lots of butchers have their bones on display (oo err), defintely more so than usual.
Picked the wrong fucking year to sell my air rifle though, thought at the time I shouldnt have done it.

You really couldn’t make it up, we had our kitchen ripped out at the weekend and they’re supposed to be fitting the new one next week once the walls are plastered and the plumbing and electrics are rejigged.... So we’re not cooking much and won’t be for quite a few weeks I suspect.... Fortunately there are a couple of good Indians nearby, I’ll have to negotiate a discount seeing as we’ll be ordering most evenings.
Although I did buy a garden waste incinerator the other week for no reason whatsoever (must have been fate!) which it turns out can be used for cooking with. I’m quite looking forward to trying it actually, I think I’ll try baking some potatoes first though, don’t fancy experimenting with a whole chicken . I’ll burn off the galvanised coating first as well, that won’t be healthy!

We're still working our way through the salmon before it goes out of date
Washing it down with the Prosecco we panic bought.
Did waste a bit though, when I spilt it getting into the hot tub.
I'm quite enjoying this isolation thing. Good food and no annoying company.

I have reported you under the Happiness Act for wilful use of positive emotions during a crisis.

Make a large suet dumpling, add lightly fried onion and bacon into it. Mix it all up, place in basin and steam for a couple of hours.
Serve with gravy and vegetables.
I don't think there's been panic buying of Atora, so you should be alright. Did one couple of weeks ago.
15 games console must cover every one ever made right?

and I like your dyno output user pic!
If kids starting getting really chewy over next few weeks will get the BBC micro out of the loft and show them the joy of a simple game.
Only problemo with the Repton games is that they were actually quite hard!

Re: What are you cooking in these days of wartime restrictions?
Yeah it was bloody hard.. I still remember 'tobacco' was the pass word for the last level on Repton 3. And 'morning' was level 3.
But, I think I'm right in saying, in order to 'properly' complete it you had to play the entire game start to finish with only three lives and using no passwords!

I occasionally dust off my Intellivision (look it up!) and play that!

The Gamecube had the best version of MarioKart, double dash. Laughed myself hoarse playing that with my mates.

Bread and Pot Noodles. Chicken & Mushroom. Should be on every restaurant menu. Spent £110 at Marco Pier Whites before the Chinese Flu epidemic, good stuff but not a Pot Noodle.
