..I just spoke to my olde school mate who is a bus mechanic.
He is currently changing loads of bus tyres with pry bars, two tyre irons, a lump of metal and a piece of wood. Perfectly happy about it though

I think there's a lot to be said for work like that though, instead of one brain aching problem after another.

He's one of those people that was just born incredibly strong too, like a mighty ox.

I used to do tyre duty on a Saturday morning occasionally, it was ok actually as it didn’t require too much thinking and was a good way to sweat out the alcohol! A couple of years ago my mate found some old split rims in a field which were the correct pattern for a vintage bus he was restoring, the trouble was they came complete with cross ply’s which had fused themselves to the metal and they wouldn’t budge for anything. We tried all kinds of inventive ways to break the bead but in the end resorted to a couple of pallets, a bit of diesel and a match. We did this on an industrial estate I hasten to add, not in a residential area!
I did once burn out the rear wishbone bushes off my Focus ST in the garden, you know you’re not making any friends when people start taking their washing in and slamming their windows shut!
