Last minute packing now, a majority was done before Xmas so not too bad but glad when in and unpacked and can give the Capri a clean as it's uncoverd at the monent but garaged.
Stressful indeed!! I did removals just over 20 years ago and it was great but being on the other end isn't so much fun

Garage was sorted last week JM
When it's dry and a bit warmer will get car out and wipe it over, and as it's a narrower garage need to put some cardboard or carpet on wall to stop door hitting when I get in /out.

Re: Moving house.....
Good Luck with the move Andy. Hope all goes to plan and great the Capri has already been sorted first.and is safe and sound in its new home.! Yep carpet is better for the wall mate to protect the door or go online and there's purpose made rubber strips you can screw to the wall to protect the door which I want to get as they look cool too
Once again all the best with the move and see you on the other side when you get back online

All the best with the move, Andy!
Did you put your foot down and insist on moving somewhere with a heated double garage?
Andrew.

Re: Moving house.....
The garage, seems to be a bit of a luxury for some of you guys , or even a shed for a motorbike. We went to Dunedin on wed ( limb centre ) and in the older part of town everyone parks on the road, peeps just leave their treasure where anyone could get it.......I wouldnt be able to sleep.

Re: Moving house.....
Sadly garages aren't universal in the UK. Space in towns is at a premium which limits plot sizes especially in the South East. Garages are most usually built between neighbouring houses and often wide enough to park 1 car.
Where I am for instance most of the town was built around 90 to 100 years ago so the garages have just about enough space for an Austin 7, no way of extending the width without knocking into someones house. lol.
In my road everyone just uses their garages to store crap in and their cars live on the drive. People with classic cars and bikes that need to keep them out of the elements or away from prying eyes often end up renting lock up garages some distance from their houses which is ok though means using battery power tools or running an inverter for carrying out work.
