44k for a Fiat 500
A bit of a shocker!
It's makes you wonder though, if the team are such master mechanics/customisers/fabricators, why do they spend £15K on buying a decent car to butcher for their modifications? Why not buy a rotbox/ accident damaged car for peanuts and bring up to standard with their skills? Would that have brought the Fiat build in under budget and increased their profit margin, as they would have still sold the car for the £40K the buyer had budgeted for?
Better still, if I was the buyer, I would have taken the car straight to the EV specialists who supplied the parts and got the work done for half the price he had to pay to GWG. Plus, it looked much better as a standard car.
Andrew.
Didn't know they paid £15k for it to start with Could have bought a car for that
I had forgotten about Mark Evans , and Pete mate. Excellent value , even if you had no interest in the project it was still a good watch just for the laughs . I do like Ed and Ant but that Mike Brewer gives me the shits, but then I think he's trying to be a bit of a prat.......Del boy does it much better tho
Sometimes I talk to myself ... and we both have a good laugh
When you said about Ant and Edd, that reminded me of another bit of `information` I got from Wheeler Dealers: did you know that the US 2.8 had special exhaust ports which were siamesed exclusively for the US because they improved emissions? Neither did I.
Have to agree about Mike though, he`s trying to be a sort of Del-boy, cockerney, cheeky chappie but just comes across as a duplicitous twat who talks shite. (He loves Capris: Capris are a joke)
Mike, if you`re reading this, I said `comes across as`, I`m sure you`re a really nice guy in person

Mike Brewer, Tim Shaw, Drew Pritchard etc, i.e the 'celebrities' of these car shows all come across as irritating at times, and for me that adds nothing to the shows. Maybe it's their natural ways but they can grate on you.
Yep, Fuzz is never mentioned, but he`s a genuine, knowledgable (and likeable) bloke. Maybe they want irritating tossers `cos it gets peoples attention?

Maybe Steve.
But then it's not about the cars and the skill/experts, it's another celeb load of that we have far too much of anyway

With all this `Royalty Crisis` I think they should let H & M go and be independent (minus their titles, property and Met security of course) and then they could have a `talent` show where people competed to be the next Prince Wayne or whatever? And then of course, the `reality` show dealing with how they cope with the extreme wealth.

Steve.
With recent events me competing to be the next Prince Andy or Andrew could put me at a disadvantage
Get rid of them all sell the buildings and that would support Nhs Hosiptal for 276 years .
Sell her big diamonds that would help all of us .
Be nice when we are all treated the same ,
And now back to car shows
It makes you wonder with cars shows like Goblin Works Garage and Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars, whether there is an element of an actual business, as they claim on the show, or whether it is all make believe for the TV. DRS Automotive, for example, I would be certain that is a genuine business that just happens to be featured in Fantom Works. Is Goblin Works Garage the same, do we think? I would be amazed if Drew Pritchard genuinely has a business selling cars, that show is clearly just so he can satisfy his massive ego.

Andrew.
Imo, Fantom Works is still the best car related programme on TV.
Not cars but Salvage Hunters; The Restorers is a good programme. Very skilled repairers!

I have often wondered that too Andrew. They all seem to have registered businesses, but then again anyone can set up a business. But why would they actually do so, unless they are running it as a proper company?! Very confusing. Perhaps they do it to make it all seem more feasible to us all, so it is just for show.
But I do think it is more a TV show than a self contained business.
Drew Pritchard, like many of them, has several businesses/companies all running at the same time.
Paul,
at least I`ve learned something - had no idea Drew was a shortened version of Andrew! Which makes you wonder what John Barrymore was thinking?
I `don`t believe any (other than Fantom Works) are proper businesses in their own right. That`s not to say they`re not working garages, but the business is more based on TV money than deriving it`s income from car repairs, if you know I mean?
Paul,
I did know really... Bryn = hill IIRC? I`m sure there`s a Bryn synkin (phonetic, sorry for mis-spelling) on Anglesey, or at least N Wales.
edit: Andrew, sychnant, would that be pronounced sinkin?? It`s doing my head in now!
