Headlining headaches!

Post by jrooney1991 »

Morning all,

Had the sunroof removed and reskinned without. I have a new headlining from East Kent trims and what I thought were the correct stretcher/ bracing bars but can't seem to get the sodding thing to fit! All the bars are different lengths... Does anyone have some guidance or pictures on fitting one in a non sunroof model?

Have a quick look at my Capri's ongoing restoration! You might teach me something!

If I remember correctly the bracing bars at the rear end of the roof are the same whatever roof you have but possibly on a non sunroof model there are more bars at the front which there wouldn't be on a sunroof model.
It's been so long since I've stripped out a non sunroof model that I can't be sure but the roofs themselves are the same size and shape.

I think they are supposed to be different lengths,I am pretty sure on my car they were different ,have you got them fitted in the lining already, trying to think maybe short ones to front ,if there not in the lining try then in first
