so could be in a garage somewhere .
Or in a barn if the OP's username is anything to go by.
You can get details of previous owners from the DVLA for a small fee.

If you are on Facebook, put your request on Capri Word or Capri Laser, often previous owners will be on there.
Some cars I have have owned had receipts with previous owners address or phone number, which makes it easy to contact them and usually they were more than happy to reply.

I've got a question about the DVLA data request.
It's likely that some of the previous owners of a car have changed address since owning the car. When the DVLA supply the address details of those people, do they supply their address at the time of ownership, or do they supply their current address if it is known by the DVLA?
Assuming that the previous owners continue to be registered keepers of a vehicle, in theory it is possible that their address movements have been tracked to the new addresses and they will be recognised as the same person who lived at a different address when they owned the Capri, if you follow.

So when I did the DVLA form I was given just the V5 what what was issued to all the new owners even the original main dealer who applied for the v5 for the new keeper . I was lucky as non of mine had moved . As I did letters to all of them all with my email address looking for old pictures and just to say I have the Capri and it’s still going . What was fantastic as the original first owner gave me so much pictures and letters on the car .
But I also did another one for my old Capri and that was refused as I said I would buy it back .
