New Ford Capri Possibility
Guys don't know about you but if this was ever going to happen then I have to say that I really do like this one. Not sure about calling it the Mk4 Capri but the car itself looks proper nice. Very cool

Re: New Ford Capri Possibility
Nick, not keen on it being called the Mk4 Capri!
But no doubt about what it is supposed to resemble, and I like the overall style of it with the Vauxhall Firenza style rear end, but something about the grille and headlights that don't look quite right imo. Maybe the grille needs to come level with top of headlights
If it had the 5.0 V8 that the UK Mustang has and similar price
Edit;
Grille and headlights wise, similar design to the Mk1 facelift Capri, but the Mk1 just look to be better proportioned.

Re: New Ford Capri Possibility
Front, esp. the bumper edge, reminds me of late XJS? Never a bad thing.
Re: New Ford Capri Possibility
I thought of XJS, but the shape of grille and headlights. Similar I'm sure you agree.
As with the Jag, the Capri(?) would be better with bigger lights and that would make the grille better imo.
Saying all that it wouldn't put me off buying one though

Re: New Ford Capri Possibility
I don't mind the design, it's quite pleasant.
Despite there being quite a few recognisable elements of Capri styling, I wouldn't like to see the Capri name re-used on for this car.
I can't see this ever making it to production in that form though.
Andrew.

I do quite like that design, but I agree that the Capri was `of it`s time`, an icon of it`s time, and should be left. It is what it is and should be admired for that.
Re: New Ford Capri Possibility
As I see it Andrew, we have the UK Mustang here now so that has covered coupe/muscle car market, so no need for anything similar.Andrew 2.8i wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 6:31 pm

Re: New Ford Capri Possibility
Very similar, front end especially.
Re: New Ford Capri Possibility
Looks like Fierenza / Manta with Capri quarter windows.
I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.
