Paul G wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 9:44 am Sounds like an exciting, if expensive, project Nick. How many horsepower do you think it will have after this?
Thanks Paul.

Mate from seeing what a few guys have said on fb I should be seeing 145-150 bhp but obviously the way to get accurate figures on this is to get it on a rolling road which I will prob do at some stage. The cam obviously is very important to get right. I am getting a complete cam kit rather than just the cam so all new with uprated springs. Suppose it would be interesting just to see after all the work is done what the figure actually is.

Re the cost yes indeed its not for the faint hearted mate !! Its no secret the 45s alone brand new from Webcon are £975+vat !! Then you have the cost of the Kent Cam Kit plus of course the modifications to the head and labour charges from Tickover for setting it all up for me. Seen a few second hand 45's for sale for refurbishment but tbh I always wanted to buy brand new 45's ! It will be worth it.

So Paul all very exciting mate. I have always wanted to explore the potential the great Pinto has to offer. I am only really tapping into it as dig even deeper into your pockets and its amazing what the Pinto can achieve. Great engine !!! Paul I have a few other tweaks/changes I am doing to compliment this head work so you will prob walk past B112 and not recognise it next time you see me

Hey thanks very much for this info mate. Very helpful as there are quite a few Kent cams to choose from and its getting the right one that is the trick. I was looking at the FR32 from what others have said so hearing you mention it too in a similar set up this is looking like the one I will most likely opt for.

Andrew 2.8i wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 5:31 pm Hi Nick,
It sounds like you have some exciting jobs in hand at Tickover, and possible more to come in the future. You're certainly making B112 into your dream Capri. 8-)
Thanks Andrew :) Yes Siree !!! I have been dreaming of doing so much to B112 over the time I have owned it and plugged away at it and I really am getting there !! Weber 45's with a head modified is going to be the icing on the cake and was always in the planning but I just wanted to get other stuff sorted first in prep for this stage ! I still have more planned but that can wait...

But while B112 is with Gus and Clive this time I am going to get the front brakes upgraded too. Will get the Hi Spec 283mm vented discs as I have 15" wheels so can take these. Just makes sense to get better braking power with the increase in power. Just dont ask how much

Yes Jason, I can do a test on the performance of petrol station fuel pump nozzles, and the flexabilty qualities of the hoses in relation to their length and ease of extension
