Are these even for the Capri?
I see that there is a central mounting point, but the Capri surrounds don't have a screw hole in that position.

I don't think they are... the very first picture/post on this thread shows the capri ones and they look different.... I could be wrong of course

Re: Headlight Grilles Anyone?
I have lined them up to my lights on my Capri. They do fit absolutely perfect inside the headlight surrounds. Note the taper in at the bottom of grill. the bonnet shuts without hitting. Also the middle bar is tapered. The top is thicker than the bottom. Will put up a pic laters to show. Yes the fixing point is at the top and not the sides. With a locating pin at the bottom. But nothing a drill wont sort out if I feel they need fixing on the sides.
Re: Headlight Grilles Anyone?
The Capri headlight surrounds does not have fixing points at the sides either. They have to be drilled to fitAndrew 2.8i wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2019 3:47 amYes, the link works.Fletchy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 10:10 pm https://ibb.co/Q7WLvkW

Re: Headlight Grilles Anyone?
That's good as I couldn't tell if they would fit properly from the photo. Still, as I wrote earlier, they were a good buy. A few people ask about these headlight grilles but nobody can seem to find them anywhere. Lucky you were in the right place at the right time to buy them!
I take it you can't see the centre fixing once the bonnet is closed?
I look forward to seeing a photo of your car once you get the grilles fitted.
Andrew.

Hi all. This is links to two pictures of the headlight grills held in place by blutac at the moment for you to get an idea!!. Anyway the sixty four pound Question is do I keep as is or have them powder coated blue to match or go with black light surrounds with black grills? I would like your opinions to give me a better idea what's best. I am now curious of how many other people have these. As to how rare they really are?. Surely there must be more than 2 people!

Re: Headlight Grilles Anyone?
I'd get them powdercoated blue to match the surrounds and radiator grille.
I recognise your car from Brooklands, by the way. Nice looking car!
Andrew.

Yes I was at brooklands. Not sure how you remembered seeing mine! As there was a few there lol! Thanks for that. It's an on going project! This winter I'm putting on the 15in brooklands wheels. But they are not brooklands the set I have are from a Sierra!! They look the same from the outside just need to fit spacers as offset is different! Also I've found and original Capri radio and a uncut dash to go with it. But I'm missing to two metal brackets and the curved front plate surround.....that's next on the list lol!
