I always feel it`s a sad sight, like an old donkey off to the slaughterhouse.

I've just seen the sob story advert - "can you give just £3 a month to give this carrot the dignified life he deserves".... :)

Wasn`t there something in `Notting Hill`, a fruitarian, could only eat fruit that had fallen from the tree due to old age?
Just re-read OP, I thought the `English` or whatever front loading axle had been discontinued by the Mk3, that must be quite rare?

I just had a super hamburger and feel terrible now after seeing Denis the Donkey  ...but after all this chat about carrots I think I would have been even more upset if I ate one of those instead.. Jeepers I am an emotional wreck now.... :crying: :crying:

Re the Capri yes very sad indeed to see one destined to be broken up but as Andy said it will go on to help many capri owners which can only be a big positive. Yep a very early one too but tbh I am no sadder for this reason.

Good luck with selling the parts on :)

Don`t worry Nick, they don`t actually use Donkey meat in burgers. Your thinking of kebabs.

A real shame... looks like one of the very first mk3 2.0 Ghias. If only I had won the lottery I’d go round and rescue ones like this!! 😄
