The only way is Essex?

Post by Peter-S »

Sorry Jason, couldn't find anything 'Pinto' class but I was able to spread the Capri word in front of Essex class carrier USS Hornet :)

I always thought a Pinto was a small Mexican bean which makes you fart!

Seriously Peter, the USS Hornet I believe is now a National Museum in American due to its legendary WW2 actions. I've never seen it but I did go aboard the USS Constellation in Fremantle, Australia, when it was on its last tour of duty in about 1993, just prior to when it was de-commisioned. It was quite amazing and absolutely huge.

Last stop on the way to the airport Jason, glad I didn't miss it. You could be right on the Pintos, we weren't allowed in the engine room so maybe hiding a secret
Got back home last night so back to normality now.

Yes Paul, the ship is a floating museum moored up in San Francisco. Worth a visit if you're passing ;)

I think you'll find that Essex isn't the only way. According to Yazz, The Only Way Is Up! :)

It looks like you're having a good holiday there Peter. Unsurprisingly, you're not missing out on much, weatherwise, here!

Andrew.

Blimey Nick, I was obviously more tired than I realised at that point as I never even noticed that on my shirt. Amazing oversight. Perhaps the glare off the Pacific brought it out
