Sainsbury meet Sunday

Post by Peter-S »

Who hopes to meet at Sainsbury A3/A245 junction pre Brooklands on Sunday just so we know who to wait for. Suggested time is around 9 - 9.30.

I believe there should be me, Andrew, Jason, Cosmic, Danny

Anyone else?

Hi Peter,

I am meeting John, Tom and Jeff and poss a couple of his mates at South Mimms at 0800 to convoy down to meet you guys at Sainsburys Cobam. We will deffo be there.takes about 50 mins for us so we should be there by 0915 depending what time we set off but we will deffo be there.

Was talking to Dan (the Capri man) tonight and he will be meeting us there with a couple of mates. I gave him the address and time and he will deffo be there to drive in with us.

Weather is just getting better every time I dare to look :)

See you on Sunday at Sainsburys then Peter and thanks for finding this venue for us all to gather before driving in to Brooklands :)

Kris said it could be useful for their marshals if we can possibly display a small "Laser Forum" sign on our dash so they can direct us quicker but prob not vital if some don't.

All the best

Nick

I hope to be there by 0930, my lad is coming along so we will be doing his paper round in the Capri then heading straight over, should make it on time, unless there's a load of vintage car traffic..

Brilliant. Nice one Peter.

Wow. It's great to see everyone coming. It's gonna be a cracking day with all the forum members. Hope everyone has a safe journey and really look forward to seeing you all. Don't forget the Laser Forum Banner Peter although we will be parked on concrete rather than grass so not sure how you get it to stay up mate :)

All the best

Banner is already in the boot :)
I'm sure there will be a few cars with bags of cement in the back so we can borrow one or two and stand the banner in those

Great news.!! Heard from Neil (sheff) today. He is hoping that himself, Mark and son Lee will get to the gathering point in time to convoy into Brooklands with us. :)

Hi all yes I'll be meeting you all at the Sainsburys in Cobham at about 9:15 on Sunday. I'll be bringing a Capri friend along called Barry with me. We're driving down to a nice 3 star hotel I've booked in Sheperton on Saturday afternoon and we will have a nice full English breakfast there on Sunday morning as well. See you all on Sunday I can't wait really excited, its going to be great to catch up with everyone. I was gutted when I missed the 45th anniversary show but the turn out for the 50th should be even better. The weather report is looking good and our Capri convoy is going to be impressive by the sound of things. :D

I suspect that we are not going to be the only ones meeting at Sainsburys (though I reckon the nearer Tesco will be more busy). Easy way of identifying the group anyone? I'm easy to spot, manky blue Laser with the tailgate finished in a fetching grey primer colour, and really quite low down...

That's great news! I thought you had a prior arrangement in Essex tomorrow?
By my count that should be about 14/15 Capris at Sainsbury's. :D
