Yep, it's ideal Jason as only 26 miles from the venue.
I should be there on the 1st September so hope to meet up
Do you want to meet somewhere on route Jason (even though I will be in the 2.8)

Jason. I'm travelling up from Devon the day before and staying with family in Gravesend, so it would be good to meet up if that's ok?

Sorry folks that I have not been on here to contribute much just recently. Too much time consumed sorting out stuff and also answering a lot of questions on FB.

First out - thank you to all of you on here who are contributing to the show and have entered.

I am sure that most of you have picked up a lot on FB but we finished at 258 Capris. There will be attrition but the weather is looking good and that means the attrition, at least, won't be weather related.

We have the drone in the sky taking a picture of the line of Capris - all quarter of a mile of them - 2 lines.

And you have read the rest in my posts above. It's looking like it is going to be a cracking day, a final chapter in the book for Ford and Capri.

I need to emphasise something here - 2 things actually:-
  1. Once parked up, unless it is an emergency, there can be no movement of the cars between 10am and 3:45pm. This is for H&S reasons and I think that you all would appreciate that if there was an incident, it wouldn't look good on Ford or the charity organising the event - St Francis Hospice. If there is an emergency where you need to leave during the day, please come and find me near the Porta Cabin on the track and I will organise the escort vehicle to lead you out. I'll be sat at one of the tables most of the day near the Cabin. It needs to be an emergency though because we can't have the escort truck continually ferrying people off the track

  • Please make sure you arrive by 9:30am. That is a hard line and whilst I know the marshals are allowing a small window of time extra for queuing and slight delays out on the road for some people, at a point in time some time before 10am, they will shut the gate and no more show cars and Capris will enter. It will be a real disappointment for you and a shame for me and all of the other Capri owners if you were stuck in the visitors car park.

SO MAKE SURE YOU GET THERE BY 9:30AM. Gate opens at 8am for 8:30am, therefore, a 60/90 mins window. No one really should be late
Thank you all. Really looking forward to this day and I hope you people are too!!!

Looking forward to this, and to hopefully meet some of you on here that I have never met. In fact I think my mum has met more of you than I have through selling various parts over last year or so.

I am wanting to go to Brooklands too, but have to go to a party Saturday night so can't commit. Ironically party is in Chelmsford so for the swap of weekends it would have worked out much better!

My guess is that you've bought Nick a new 70" flatscreen TV for his nice garage that he posted a photo of recently. Am I right?

I hope everybody who is going has a great day tomorrow, it's definitely going to be a fantastic show.

Andrew.
