Wanted, Mk3 headlight grille surrounds

Post by Luke1508 »

Hey guys

I’ve just seen a Capri with grilles on the headlights.. looks badass. I messaged the owner and he said it was an option with the car back in the 80s.. I looked about on selling sites but nothing :crying: Does anyone have any they don’t want?
I’ll pay obviously..

Cheers
Luke

There was a very old post knocking around from someone who was drumming up interest on having a few sets made.

If anyone does make them Id be interested.

Oh really? I actually have a 3D printer at work so if I find a pair I could actually make a few copies. I’ll keep you guys in mind if I get my hands on some

Definitely!

And you need to change your bio - the 3.0S isn't dead yet!

Actually seeing the white full width grille on the cool but controversial Coyote Capri the other day got me wondering. I do wonder if it would be feasible to knock up something full width like that just with black aluminum slats slats

Actually seeing the white full width grille on the cool but controversial Coyote Capri the other day got me thinking. I wonder how much work it would be to knock up something full width like that but with black aluminum slats slats to make it more in keeping with the look of a standard Mk3 grille.

I'm sure I'd seen online before somewhere that some one basically did that but with a second capri grille that he cut up and glued onto the middle section of grille
I'm no metal worker so no idea how easy/difficult it would be to make fresh ones
