Spotted A949 ***
Didn't get the full reg as I was pulling out of a side road but saw a nice red mk3 on the Sandwich by pass this morning. Probably a base model as no spoiler. Anyone know it?

There was a 1.6 LS at Brooklands in '14. I would have thought it's likely to be the same car that you saw.
Maybe it will be at Brooklands next month.

Well done Andrew. Great bit of detective work through your archive pictures mate. Certainly looks like this is the same one don't it. Can't be many red mk3 beginning with A949 can there. Very impressive.
As Andrew said its a 1.6 and just recently passed its mot. Very nice looking Capri and a credit to its owner looking so good as it does. Yep hopefully see it at Brooklands

Well Peter, just had a message on fb from the owner of this Capri you seen last Sun. His name is Andrew and yep it's the 1.6LS that our Andrew mentioned. He was driving through Sandwich last Sun so deffo was him. He uses it most days and says that it needs a bit of work but it runs very well indeed.!
