Re: Brooklands 50th Attendance
Hi Andy and everyone else,
Still down in lovely Cornwall but just a last call reminder if anyone else not on this list wants to join us on the forum stand at the 50th at Brooklands we need to give Kris the numbers tomorrow. Am guessing the list is now good to go but as said anyone else please let us know by tomorrow morning.
I will check back here about mid/late morning to see if anyone else wants to join us then the numbers must go off to Kris do he can reserve us the space we need. It was good of him to extend the deadline for us.

Re: Brooklands 50th Attendance
8 weeks away that’s the summer holidays over our big bash at Brooklands and then Mot October and winter lay up time . OMG
Where does time go .
Don’t forget plenty of 35ml film Andrew as there may be loads of capris . Also nick start getting in the Rhubarb . Also Mr Steve Will be talking about his new Laser Capri book coming out nextyear .
To help out I will be attending church every Sunday to ask for a nice sunny day also mention about how my mother in law would look bad with wings and better with a Fork .
I did think about getting a Indian red dress as they do rain dancing along with sun dancing but managed to get a woman’s off the shoulder dress in red by mistake have tried you tube with some tips on how to do the dance .
Nick has also sorted out the flypast for peter , and 3 capris Dan is doing a talk on “living with 3 capris “
Think that covers all just the big prize draw that we are all enter in to

Sounded out my mate Mick today, (Andrew probably remembers him from 5 years ago!) and he's game for being a driver for the day so hopefully I can bring both cars as planned

How could I forget?
It's great that you can take both cars as I've only seen your 2.8 once, and I've yet to see the Laser.

Re: Brooklands 50th Attendance
Andy D / Nige / Andrew / Nick - you have all stated that you will only attend Brooklands if dry (that's the only reason I have highlighted you 4 from the rest).
I don't know how many of you have placed yourself down for Dunton - and this thread is not to pinch some people from one to go to the other.
If you have not booked a Dunton ticket, I am thinking of you guys and the uncompromising position you have placed yourselves in. For the rest of them above, they all are going to Brooklands, rain/snow/ice.
This is a once in a lifetime couple of events, chaps. You'll never again see up to 500 Capris across 2 events in a week of each other in the UK - up to 250 at each. You'll never see a Capri 50 again and probably when the Capri is 60, the numbers / appetite for owners to attend these dwindles.
By the nature of not going to Brooklands if wet and not reserving a ticket for Dunton, you've left yourself outside all of that. The big Capri 50 events will pass you.
Book a Dunton ticket people as reservation that if the weather looks ropey one week later, you at least get to one of the bigguns. If there are 2 weeks of sun in early Sept, you have the option of both or Brooklands only or whatever you want.
You really risk leaving yourselves without an event here to attend. Better to have 2 options than forced into none at all.
Your call.

Re: Brooklands 50th Attendance
Was chatting to Nick about this at the Ace - thinking we could convoy on the way to Brooklands and do a run through Hindhead tunnel which is just a bit further down the A3 but we did it a few years back and was a great sight (and sound) to blast through a mile long tunnel before we get there
Anyone else is welcome to join, if not I'll do it a few times on my own
Cheers
Danny

Re: Brooklands 50th Attendance
I did here that Steve is doing a talk on “ The Pinto as Fords say it’s the best Engine in the world “ will he being doing this talk at Dunton and Brooklands as Nick will be singing that great number one Hit from Mr John Lennon “ imagine “
Love the words .
Imagine there's no pinto
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no pinto, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You, you may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you will join us ( this part for the V6 owners )
And the world will be as one .
Will be amazing after the song Mr Steve comes on stage then talks about the Pinto Engine .
Can’t wait .
