Re: Capri spotted on tv
Is it me or does the front grill look not quite right, a bit `Datsun`ey? The way it slopes away?
(If you want to see Capris on the telly, have a look at some of the `70s films they show on `Talking Pictures, Freeview 81: some cracking British Films on there)

Boys from the Blackstuff?stevemarl wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 2:30 pm Anyone (you`ll need to be nearly 50 probably) identify the 1982 drama this black S appeared in? Correct answer wins a genuine Ford Capri 7/16" UNF nyloc, used, slghtly stripped but otherwise VGC: these are becoming really hard to find now, et cetera- worth £19.99.

Andy,
so close... but not quite.
Oh go on, I`ll give it you, it was actually the one off Play for Today `The Blackstuff` from which the series developed later. That + the entire series, £6.95 on Amazon. Brilliant! (interesting to see just how quiet the M6 was then, there`s more traffic at 3AM now.)

Some good programmes around back then, considering we only had 3 channels
P.S. You can keep the nyloc
Re: Capri spotted on tv
Cheers, I`ll put it on ebay then. I think although we only had 3 channels, it was easier to produce decent programmes to fill that time. 300 channels and you end up with 25 soaps and celebrity nose picking. Gemma Collins, Joey Essex, what can I say? Being thick or ignorant might once have been limiting - now careers are built on it. What a bloody world!

Hardly anything on the T/V worth watching now apart from the old stuff; Sweeney, Minder, Professionals etc, and the odd car related programme.
If the Mrs didn't pay the T/V licence I know I wouldn't!
Channel 4 also aired in late 1982.

Re: Capri spotted on tv
Funny you say that about channel 4 as I am sure they had a warning triangle top right of the picture if they showed anything naughty or a horrorandyd wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 6:05 amSteve, stevemarl wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 7:29 pmCheers, I`ll put it on ebay then.
