I think it was just a couple of quid cheaper than the 10w40: it`s for the Fiat anyway so pretty much anything goes ;-)
Thanks Steve, I just thinking you may have thought that GTX 10/40 is no longer made. It is, just has some rebranding that's all, it is explained on the website as people have been thinking the same.

Just in case this helps anyone -

A downside of the new adding pictures feature of this site is that you cannot delete or change a pic you have posted, so in the future if you wish to remove that embarassing or outdated photo, you can't.

Whereas with using a host (e.g. postimages), you can delete/change at any time you wish.

She’s very good at keeping cats of your garden because I use a picture of her in ours and we don’t have any trouble with them .

I`m certain last week when I bought it, 10 was more expensive than 15: just checked now and it`s cheaper! Either i really am losing the plot or it`s changed again? (If you remember a couple of years back Asda had 10w40 at 1/2 price or less? Stocked up with loads then, I`ve got plenty for capri! :D :D

Yes I was thinking about that before :) It's still available at decent prices here and there, saw it on Amazon recently which wasn't expensive and included delivery, and Opie Oils had it cheap, if you bought three you got a tenner off, worked out very reasonable.

For reference, this place seems good value, they sell the 10/40 at the same price too -

Paul, look at this - got to be the lowest I`ve ever seen + free delivery? Might get a couple for Fiat at that price. Even 10w40`s £19

And that's fantastic, think I shall go for some, thanks! £12 for 4L is probably the lowest I have seen it.

Indeed, Costco used to do it at £17 for 4l. However, when I last went there they no longer stocked 10W40 as few people were buying it.

I'm popping to Tesco later in the hope that they will have it, at that price I shall get enough for the next three oil changes hopefully.
