Leather dash cover
I have the usual cracked dashboard so thought I would buy the leather cover and give it a go. Happy with the result and I'll post another photo when it's fitted. Easy to do. Still a bit of tidying up with it to do once it's in place. Yes I know the vent holes are still blocked

Re: Leather dash cover
How did you find the cover went on and did the dash refit go ok?
Cover looks good and a definite improvement.

Re: Leather dash cover
Dash went in very easy. All in and I've moved onto the engine bay for the next bit.
The cover isn't perfect but looks considerably better than it did before.
Cover was easy to fit. We stretched it in place and clamped it for a few day's. Used the spray glue and took our time.

Good idea Would be interested to know if the fit when it all goes back together is ok, with the slightly increased size.

Re: Leather dash cover
It's back in without any problems.
It's not perfect but better. I have a Dash mat to go on top anyway when the Sun is shining.
In a few places I haven't put enough glue but it's stuck down ok. Take your tie and do a bit as a time. You'll be happy with the result.

Re: Leather dash cover
Great job!
Do you have any photos of the dash fitted back in the car?
Andrew.

Glad it's all gone back in OK. Looks smart and ideal for helping protect the dash underneath.

Re: Leather dash cover
Mine has started to peel off after a bit over a year, very disapointing especialy as I got the seller to reccommend the right glue and followed instructions to the letter.
Im looking at options now, may just call time on the leather and see if the CCI GRP reproduction dashboard shell is feasible.

Re: Leather dash cover
As you've probably read, it does take a bit of fiddling about to fit it and get it looking right. However, once fitted the CCI dash does look good, and it's pretty much indistinguishable from the genuine item.Not_Anumber wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 4:55 pm may just call time on the leather and see if the CCI GRP reproduction dashboard shell is feasible.

Re: Leather dash cover
The CCI ones are brilliant - no more pissing around trying to fill cracked dashboards or leather covers, CCI ones every time.

Re: Leather dash cover
Are they typically straightforward to fit Martin? I have seen some reports on here saying how difficult they are so just wondering what your take on it is.
Re: Leather dash cover
I did one the other week, took around 3 hours, very straightforward. There is some trimming to do but nothing drastic and the end results are impressive.

Leather cover has been removed intact and is looking for a home.
