Isle of Wight takeover May 19

Post by Stish704 »

Is anyone on here attending this? I’m going over with our club.
Booked into a caravan park for the Saturday night and probably coming home Monday.
There is 8 of us going, 4 capris! It’ll be an interesting convoy going down from dartford Saturday morning! :D

I know that feeling!
There’s just a big ford show going on at Sandown airfield.
Should be something different?

Well. That was an interesting weekend. If you liked RS focus or fiesta then you’d be in heaven!
About a thousand cars there and only about 30 classics. One other Capri there but that was it.
Disappointing to say the least. We had a good weekend in itself, driving round the island drawing lots of attention from the locals. Many pictures taken of my car which was nice.
I’ve got a few pictures now need to work out how to add them from my iPad!

I know Rob took his Capri but that's still a dissapointing turnout of classics :(
I bet there was more interest in that 30 than the 970 'Fast Fords'
As long as you had a good time that's the main thing :)

Some good pics on the other thread

That's a shame. Thought you had a few Capris lined up to go. Some dropped out then did they?

It's not really not for old school Fords, more new Fiestas & Focuses.; I'd enjoy it for a laugh if you go with mates, but glad I didn't go this year at least.
