Headlight Bulbs

Post by pbar »

Looking on CarParts4Less, headlight bulbs vary from £1.16 (for Neolux) to a whopping £20.88

I've bought Neolux bulbs before, they seem great. Is there really that much difference to justify the differences in price for brands.

One of the small fixes to get my Capri MOT sorted on Monday was a foglight bulb.
The garage had them, but I was a bit shocked to find it was £1.50

I'm not sure how I feel about these bulbs... I bought the second most expensive option (£17 Phillips) for the laser and they are a brighter whiter light but I still think they're crap overall - it hasn't revolutionised my life in anyway and I still wish they were brighter.

The only plus I've had was that I fitted some pricier sidelights as the old ones were rubbish anyway and it always seemed to flicker on one side but the bulb was still fine in the other side - new bulbs sorted the issue which must have been a bad connection somewhere and not had an issue since - small plus is that they are also much brighter than the originals, not that it would make much difference being sidelights

Thanks Danny, I intend to just go for the Neolux ones, having always been happy enough with my Capri headlights.

Last time I was at the garden centre there was a sign saying "All unattended children will be given a free can of red bull and a pet rat ",......I laughed all the way home. Didn't go there for bulbs tho :axe:
