Not much after 1980 was worth buying imo, but many fans still like them....

Before he died Rick called the line up 'Quo Lite', so we have every reason to agree :)
Heavy Quo (Frantic Four) was what he liked along with Coghlan and Lancaster.
Rossi was amazing on the FF Tour but he just wasn't really into it :? His facisnation with the more melodic pop tunes has overcome him....
I would love to be able to play like he does, but Rick was and always will be Quo to me!
What's surprised me a little is that Rick's solo album could easily be from 'Quo Lite'. Nothing wrong with it just not what I expected him to go away and do.

I must get around to listening to it...

I just watched the FF on Youtube at Hammersmith 29/3/14 ....Considering they were all 65 and over, still as good as the Live '76 album imo!
You wouldn't know they hadn't all played together since early/mid 80's

Love them. Still buy one now and again from the local tesco express but the modern ones aren't as good with their plastic caps and solid instead of hollow suck through licorice.

This seems apt with the impending snow which is about to fall.

My school virtually never closed due to the weather, now they close on a whim. The snowflake generation indeed!

Ha ha - that's a good one!!.

The times I had to walk/catch the coach to school in the 1980s when snowing and snowdrifts. It seemed that all vehicles were off the road yet our coach always made it through! How did that happen ?

And when you arrived, there were so many kids and teachers there, they seemed to find it surprising that you found it a struggle to get in - 2 feet of snow wasn't any issue for them.

Thanks Daz. And surely keeping kids off school in bad weather is more dangerous than sending them to school, as they're out playing in the 'dangerous' snow!

We all wanted time off school due to occasional bad weather, but 9 times out of 10 we had to go.
With health and safety and injury claim companies now, is it any wonder people are soft :? Besides that, we were definately tougher back then.

Seems strange now, but these where standard at one time. The lights have gone out, put another 50p in the meter!

So did my Nan, it was still in the house when we sold it after she passed away back in 1992.

My sister still has one of the prepayment token systems in her house despite me telling her it would be cheaper to get a gas contract, she's far from skint and doesn't really need it.

There was a time period once when sportsman were real people who could be themselves, they were exciting, vibrant, and, like most of us, flawed. This seems to have been lost in the current world of sanitisation and well behaved perfection, dare not bring the sport into disrepute, goodness me.

Some might say Higgins had a wasted talent, but he shone above all others on that green table which is why millions loved to watch him, above all others.

Steve Davis was totally brilliant yes, but I mean, who would you rather go on a night out with, Steve Davis or Alex Higgins :)

Bring back real sportsmen I say.
