Wanted - Mark 3 Headlamp Relay
Hello,
Does anybody have a Mk3 headlamp relay for sale, including the metal cover?
I'm after either a very cheap one or preferably a non-working one (if it's even cheaper) for possible refurbishment.
Thanks,
Andrew.

They are only held together with a few tabs underneath.
Thanks for the heads up about Colin, I'll give him and Martin a call when I've got a bit of time.
Andrew.

There are four on ebay at the moment, £25+PP, and £30 and £35 that need refurbishing - the cheapest one at £5 has already been refurbished! What a strange market for used parts

Re: Wanted - Mark 3 Headlamp Relay
Yep, I saw the £25 ones. To be honest, I'm not willing to pay that much, that's why I'd prefer a broken one. I can't find the relay for £5 though. Got a link?D366Y wrote:There are four on ebay at the moment, £25+PP, and £30 and £35 that need refurbishing - the cheapest one at £5 has already been refurbished! What a strange market for used parts

Polished it with a tea towel....Jasonmarie wrote:So what did you use to get this so shiny ?
First I used a dolly mop with a coarse compound, then I used a stitch mop with a fine polishing compound, then I polished a lot with a felt wheel and finally a lot of buffing with a lambswool thingy. Job's a good 'un!

Christ I have a few bits and bobs for my drill thing but could never name them . You did a very good job there sir . And will make a full inspection next year . I have been trying my hardest to get the 31 years worth of dentrol rust stuff around that area and it’s a right pain .Andrew 2.8i wrote:Polished it with a tea towel....Jasonmarie wrote:So what did you use to get this so shiny ?

Hi chaps, apologies for the delay in coming back - had a stupid work training course today so no chance to browse the forum during work hours as is my norm!Andrew 2.8i wrote:Thanks Andy.andyd wrote: I think this is the one, but it's bids https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ford-capri-m ... rk:39:pf:0

This was the link I meant Andrew, I follow the seller on eBay as he is great for cheap parts but still good quality - I know Paul G has got things from the same seller and we've both been happy with what we've got!
Cheers
Danny

Sold for £26.00 + £5.50 P & P.
Not bad for a restored item, but that was a bit to much for me.
