Cool Dash Update Nov 2018
Hi chaps,
Just seen an update on fb from Cool Dash !
Well after a short break to do some website work and introduce new mats/colour variations Cool Dash are back !! Now taking orders so if any of you guys want a great Christmas present bought for you nows the time to drop some hints to your other halfs
I know I said it before but these really are a stunning addition to your Capri and not only look great but actually do a great job too in protecting your dash tops. I was speaking with Colin recently. They have been selling a lot of these mats through the Facebook Capri Groups but if you don't do Facebook here is a link to their website. Click on the drop menu to select Capri and see the new colours they have introduced. I am tempted to buy another to have a choice of colours depending on the 'mood' I am in
Anyway here is the link to the website chaps
http://cooldash.co.uk/
Heres a couple of 'cool' pictures showing the mats in action.

Fame at last Nick. Centre stage, just like it should be.
Fair play for them covering all bases even a V8 version.
Dropped my hints, grey one on the way

Roll on Springtime, get it on the dash rather than the spare bed

Re: Cool Dash Update Nov 2018
I asked Colin if he recommended using the dashmat during winter storage in a dry garage that can reach zero degrees at times.
He said there is no reason they cannot be used all year round, but in my case suggested leaving the window down an inch or so (Which I do already) for the cold air to flow and check it regularly to see how it's performing.
So I will put it in place soon and check once a month to start with to make sure no moisture (TBH I can't see it being an issue)

That’s interesting as I did say I wonder if it could get dump , yes I have both windows down a inch as then the air can circulate around the car also my vents are open on heat . But I was worried that the cold damp air has moisture in and go threw the vents on the other side and start getting damp .
I also have them damp things that collect water .
Glad your doing the test as mine is in the boot .
Also I was going ( when Legs start up again ) start her up and move up and down the drive way . For 20 miles mins . I did do this last year .
Sorry Andy is your gagarge wood or concrete?

Mine's been on the dash since I bought it. I'll check up on it tomorrow and report back.Jasonmarie wrote:Glad your doing the test as mine is in the boot .
In terms of temperature, it was -5 here last Tuesday morning.

It would have been in the car ages ago, but it was your comment on it that made me consider otherwiseJasonmarie wrote:That’s interesting as I did say I wonder if it could get dump , yes I have both windows down a inch as then the air can circulate around the car also my vents are open on heat . Re: Cool Dash Update Nov 2018
I use to watch that but then a new man started and he used the F word in every sentence and Marie said how can you watch that . So it was end of the road for ice truckers also do you remember Lizard towing Christ they really went to town on that .
It was cold last week but I never new you had that type of temperature. So August 35 and two months later -5 it’s madness .
All I know your doing the cooldash review for winter but does Andy know you have a heated man cave ?

Re: Cool Dash Update Nov 2018
We have a detached garage, so there is no residual heat from the house that you'd get with an integrated garage. The boiler is out in the garage though, so I do get a little bit of heat from that.Jasonmarie wrote: All I know your doing the cooldash review for winter but does Andy know you have a heated man cave ?
The lowest temperature I've ever seen was -14 a few years ago. I took a photo of the thermometer, but I can't seem to find it now.
Andrew.

Your poor boiler must be working hard

It is an oil burning one, yes.Jasonmarie wrote:It’s not one of them oil burning boilers is it ? I did remember you saying that it was in the garage....... I think that’s heated man cave ....
I checked up on the Cool Dash mat today. Being out in the garage hasn't affected it, but the wrinkles still haven't smoothed out...
Andrew.

Mine has been on the spare bed under a blanket and still has some wrinkle marks.
Maybe they should have been rolled up in the post rather than folded....

They produce a nice item like that but then fold them all up to post? Seems a little crazy.andyd wrote: Mine has been on the spare bed under a blanket and still has some wrinkle marks.

Anyone tried ironing them out?
