Yes, it's a shame, certain people helped to shape the lives of so many, in a positive way. I have his autograph actually. Thanks for mentioning him.

I have autographs from Snooker exhibitions me and dad went to at our works club in the 70's.
Alex Higgings, Ray Reardon, Willie Thorne, Terry Griffths, Graham Miles, and a couple more....Dad played Willie Thone at Table Tennis and he beat Higgins at snooker, although Higgins was pretty p****d that night

There was a time when these postcards were just a typical thing you would see at every newsagents on holiday, and nobody minded or cared. Bet there will come a time when these will be rare collector's items and banned in the modern world. Very funny though, classic British humour.

Thank guys. As Andy says Great British Humour. It's exactly that, and there is nothing quite like it. I love a lot of quintessential British things, and the humour is one of them.

You've only got to look back at some sitcoms from 70's and 80's to see what we could produce....Peoples perception of humour has changed so much, but luckily people of a certain age will always remember it for the better  Same with music :guitar:

Great stuff Andy :) And whenever I think of Lucozade I always think of the Daley Thompson advert with the Iron Maiden track.

This was another product that had to change its advert because some idiot thought it cured aids.

I do like the new orange zero flavour though - nice drink without the calories.
