Any information on this one?

Reg, pics, where it was taken from, where did you see the info?

I know it was Mercury grey, and it was taken from the South Wales, possibly Cardiff area. Andy will be able to confirm that and be able to fill in the rest of the blanks.

Mk4 XR3i F154FTA (99% sure Mercury Grey) stolen from South Wales (Rhondda Cynon Taff) August 27th/28th.
Saw it on the XR Owners Club Facebook page, I haven't heard if it was found.....

Not ideal but a total result to get it back :applaud: . Most don’t get that lucky. Hope it’s an easy fix.

Yep very sad Andy. Its shows now its not just the 2.8 and 3.0 most at risk from these scoundrals. First I heard of a laser been stolen. Its usually the V6's they go for but yep all our cherished Capris are now at risk. Will fit that garage defender asap ! Might get a wheel clamp too along with the disklok I already use. Very worrying times

Thanks for the heads up Andy.

Yes I did see that and as you all say it’s worrying, I already had a scare at home and after the event had CCTV installed .
As you say nick you can bolt the car down have a tracker remove the wheels and seats and they still have stuff away .
Might thought is I have the alarm box on the front of the house that a night lights up like a xmas tree and now at the front two CCTV cameras that also have a red lights .
Also I have the car well and truly hidden away so it’s piece of mind .

What can help is a picture of my mother in law stuck inside the car , one look and the person will turn to stone .
I can send out a picture but please use the safety gloves and blind fold to install , also have seen dogs & cats been effected .

Did anything come of that Jason, or was it just the one visit and that was the last you saw of them?

No touch wood all ok but you can go around the back of our houses in the village and people do park round , but a neighbour got a new car and his old 2006 Datsun had a note on the windscreen and my Capri was covered on the drive so I wonder if he new there was a car around there and then by chance see the car under the cover and just tried his luck . As his words were is the car for sale under the cover .

You can only hope but it keeps you on your toes more after the event what is a good thing really .

The Postman caught sight of mine in the garage last week when I was doing the coolant change.
He loved it, but I thought I hope he keeps it to himself as I don't want too many others knowing where it is....

Yes , yes and very true . We have what we call the church group really lovely people and always stop for a chat , but all the gossip comes from the postman about who dead or who doing what .
When we first moved here I got about 5 different names and even now some call me Dave like Rodney in only fools and horses .
All to get out of going to church I have told them all I am Buddhist .

Also do you get a knock on the door with some fruit or veg as they all have allotments ,.

The posties should be made to sign a non disclosure agreement so they don't reveal details about the stuff they see and hear about on their rounds!
